Stability and Backups

No part of the Hosted Exchange 2007 environment is a single point of failure. The failure of any server will not cause a degradation of service and mail will continue to route properly even in the event of a geographic disaster. Storage of mail is based on the high availability design of windows cluster services and Microsoft Exchange Cluster Continuous Replication (CCR) to ensure mail is backed up to a failover server in real time.

Full Backups are done throughout the day and exported to tape weekly. Tapes are securely transferred offsite where they are held for rotation. Our tape rotation is typically 3 months but is extendable upon request.

Outlook 2007 Client and Outlook Web Access (OWA)

We utilize Microsoft ISA server to securely publish Exchange RPC and Exchange RPC over HTTPS making the desktop client and mobile device fully functional over any network. A link to Outlook Web Access is available from each customer portal. The Outlook Client is provided as part of the Microsoft Office Suit that is included in most solutions.

Typical Exchange Features

All Exchange 2007 features are provided, including a segregated GAL giving a truly private label Exchange experience, personalized contacts that sync with mobile devices, personal & shared calendars, personal & shared tasks, and Microsoft Journal. Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4 Solutions will contain an additional outlook plug-in.
